Simple Christmas Crafts to Do with Kids

The holiday season is a wonderful time to get creative with your little ones. Here are some easy and fun Christmas crafts that kids will love. These activities are not only enjoyable but also a great way to make cherished holiday memories together.

1. Paper Plate Christmas Tree

What You Need:

  • Paper plates

  • Green paint or green markers

  • Decorations (stickers, sequins, pom-poms)

  • Glue and scissors

  • Star or yellow paper for the tree topper

Instructions:

  1. Have your child paint or color the paper plate green.

  2. Once dry, cut the plate into a triangle shape to resemble a tree.

  3. Decorate the tree with stickers or other craft supplies.

  4. Cut out a star from yellow paper and glue it to the top of the tree.

2. Salt Dough Ornaments

What You Need:

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 cup salt

  • 1 cup water

  • Cookie cutters

  • Baking sheet

  • Ribbon or twine

Instructions:

  1. Mix flour, salt, and water in a bowl to form a dough.

  • Envelopes

Instructions:

  1. Fold cardstock or construction paper in half to create a card.

  2. Let your child decorate the front with drawings, stickers, and messages.

  3. Encourage them to write a special message inside for family and friends.

4. DIY Advent Calendar

What You Need:

  • Small boxes or paper cups

  • Paint or markers

  • String or ribbon

  • Treats or small toys

Instructions:

  1. Decorate the boxes or cups with paint or markers.

  2. Fill each box with a treat or small toy.

  4. Each day in December, let your child open one box!

5. Pinecone Christmas Decorations
