Fall is the perfect time to indulge in warm, flavorful drinks, and nothing says autumn quite like a cup of pumpkin spice coffee. This simple recipe allows you to enjoy the rich flavors of pumpkin, spices, and coffee right in the comfort of your own home.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed coffee (your favorite blend)

  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree (canned or homemade)

  • 1 tablespoon sugar (adjust to taste; you can also use brown sugar or maple syrup)

  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger)

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup milk or cream (dairy or non-dairy, as preferred)

  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

  • Additional pumpkin pie spice (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew Your Coffee: Start by brewing a fresh cup of your favorite coffee. A medium or dark roast works particularly well for this recipe.

  2. Mix Pumpkin and Spices: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract. Stir until well mixed and heated through (about 1-2 minutes).

  3. Combine with Coffee: Pour the brewed coffee into the saucepan with the pumpkin mixture. Stir well to combine all the flavors. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.

  4. Add Milk or Cream: Slowly stir in the milk or cream until everything is combined and heated to your liking. If you prefer a frothy texture, you can whisk the milk before adding it.

  5. Serve: Pour the pumpkin spice coffee into your favorite mug. Top with whipped cream if desired and sprinkle a little extra pumpkin pie spice on top for an extra touch.

  6. Enjoy: Sip and savor the delicious flavors of fall!

Tips for Customization

  • Dairy-Free Option: Use almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk for a dairy-free version.

  • Sweetener Alternatives: Experiment with honey, agave syrup, or flavored syrups for different sweetness levels.

  • Extra Spice: If you love spice, add an extra dash of cinnamon or a pinch of cayenne for a little heat.
